Our Gardens

Kettle Moraine Presbyterian Church

The Kettle Moraine garden was the first garden built as a partnership between Apostle, Calvary, Delafield, Jerusalem, and Kettle Moraine Presbyterians Churches.  Construction began in May of 2020 and finished by the middle of June.  Despite a late start, the garden still had an excellent harvest.  The garden is maintained by volunteers from Delafield, Faith Springs, Jerusalem, and Kettle Moraine Presbyterians Churches.

North Shore Presbyterian Church

North Shore Presbyterian Church, began our Food for the Journey garden in the summer of 2022. During our first two seasons, we have grown the staples, such as tomatoes, peppers, kale, and beans. But we also have added swiss chard, okra, potatoes, and carrots. Our volunteers built the gardens, installed a watering system, and help with the planting, weeding and harvesting. We look forward to the 2024 growing season and welcome volunteers and donations from people's individual gardens. Feel free to call the church at (414) 332-8130 for information about joining our gardening group or donating your produce.

Living Hope Presbyterian Church

As Living Hope Presbyterian Church is located at the Dixon Hollow retirement home, so Food for the Journey was not involved in the construction of the gardens.  In Living Hope's case, Presbyterian Homes built the gardens to meet the needs of the residents so they can participate in the planting and harvesting.
